- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 5905964, yhdeksän tuntia sittenLatest version (2025.7.0) is bugged, and a new version (2025.7.1) is on the way: github com bitwarden/clients issue #15899 Until that gets through the pipes, you'll want to disable auto-updates, and install previous version 2025.6.1 from the "see all versions" link on the addon main page: click on "download" for the previous version; should install as normal.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut ohwnez, 17 tuntia sittenCritical issue. Like other recent reviews note, the current version of Bitwarden is unusable and even detrimental. Logging in triggers a runaway process that uses more and more memory and CPU cycles. I am forced to kill Firefox in the task manager before I can do anything else on my computer. A single browser extension using 7+ GB of memory is not normal.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Marc, 17 tuntia sittenThe developers seem to to be testing their extension at all, as since the latest update, the extension freezes completely on every single installation I've seen.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Twist3r, 18 tuntia sittenTrying to use the Bitwarden Extension in August 2025, it caused Firefox to freeze for 10+ second for any operation, and the extension didn't even work - trying to fill in a password would just cause a 15+seconds freeze, and after that the password was not even filled. Disabling the Bitwarden extension caused Firefox to become lightning fast again as usual, immediately, so this was really a problem with the Bitwarden extension. This is totally unusable and unacceptable, and very sad as Bitwarden is a great service. The extension worked perfectly the last time I used it a few months ago, so this is a new issue (in the meantime I was using the Windows App, which works fine). I really hope this will get fixed quickly.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 14609807, 20 tuntia sittenLatest update is completely bugged. The whole extension goes into panic mode when you first try to log in. Have to restard the whole browser to fix for now... Needs a critical update asap it's non functional as is
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Moamar, kaksi päivää sittenThe last update do not work properly the add-on icon still in gray colour and when I enter the password to unlock the vault it causes Firefox to shutdown accidentally fix that please
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut DR, kaksi päivää sittenThe latest version lags so much that it freezes the browser for about 50 seconds...
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 19238466, kaksi päivää sittenThe latest version lags out enormously and uses a mind-boggling amount of RAM when logging in, making Firefox go from less than 1GB of RAM usage to just shy of 11GB. It freezes the whole browser for ~30 seconds while doing so, before finally letting all that RAM go and actually logging me in. I'm not sure if it's compromised, but I've tried reinstalling Bitwarden and I get the same results. The addon has been nearly flawless for years before, so I'm hoping this is just a temporary issue, but as it stands I find it unusable and highly suspicious about what exactly it's doing to use so much memory and freeze the browser.

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 18662653, 19 päivää sittendoes not always show up on the menu bar or provide login info. Have to repeatedly go to the vault page to get login info.

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 15144028, kuukausi sittenThe UI update is terrible. I cannot copy the username or password like I used to be able to before. Please can you fix this.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Mike T, kuukausi sittenI've used this extension for years, and really liked it. However, with the last few updates the UI has gotten progressively worse and less functional. The UI was fine. It didn't need a rework.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 14488888, kuukausi sittenWhy is the new UI so ugly and difficult to understand? Has the plugin been hacked?
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 13342828, kaksi kuukautta sittenwas good at the beginning but once i got really scared because it was not possible to log in at all. was a wake-up call for me. better use KeePassXC has tons of features and best of all - your passwords are in your hand, not on someone else's PC. you can use Syncthing as well to maintain regular backups and make it available on several devices. never looked back since then.
Never change your password. I did so only because my password was leaked out on the dark web. Since it was similar to the one used with accessing Bitwarden, I changed it.
Bad move.
Now I can no longer sign into the Bitwarden Add-On in Firefox.
However, I can sign into Bitwarden through the online vault, and while remaining signed in, I can then sign into the stand alone Bitwarden application and yet still not sign into the Bitwarden Add-On in Firefox. It refuses to recognize the new password. You can sync the app everywhere and it won't make a difference.
You can delete the add-on, re-add it, restart Firefox, and dance naked beneath a full moon and it will not recognize the new password once it is changed.
Oh, and even trying the original password doesn't work either. Yes, I even tried that.
Also, forget turning off two-step sign in, because no matter how many times you do that, it will turn itself back on again and usually at a time when it is most convenient.
I remember the days when signing into things was a breeze, now you have to bend over backwards and shove your face up your arse to get into even the most ridiculously unimportant sites. Thus having a password manager... that doesn't work with it's own password.
Oh, and forget trying to use it easily with an iPhone. I have the new iPhone 16 and it has been reduced to ridiculousness. It is almost impossible to use it easily without have to circumnavigate Apple's BS making anything but their own password manager easy to use. What used to be a single step process, is now three or more steps. Don't expect to create new passwords on the fly, or for Bitwarden to recognize website that exist within it. You will have to manually got into the app and do it the old fashioned way... click click, type in website and search, click click, copy username, click click, paste into website sign in page, click click back to Bitwarden, click click copy password, click click paste into website password field... and hope.
This is as much Apple's fault as it is Bitwardens, and perhaps more so. Apple doesn't want anyone using anything other than what they can force you to use that they can make more cash on. Which is why I detest them as much as I once loved them when Apple was still Apple before that Microsoft hack, Tim Cooke was taken on as CEO. What in hell was the board of directors of Apple thinking? Profit and ever more profit that was all.
Enough ranting. Now I have to figure out how the hell I'm going to be able to sign into accounts made with Bitwarden when it still worked. Passwords of 135 characters long. - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut DiMi, kolme kuukautta sittenUnfortunately, after installing the Bitwarden extension for Mozilla Firefox, I noticed that some websites stopped working properly or failed to load at all. Disabling or removing the extension resolves the issue, which suggests it’s causing conflicts with certain page scripts. I hope the developers address this bug soon. For now, I had to uninstall it.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 14369563, kolme kuukautta sittenVery disappointed it use to be so easy to drop and drag one folder into another, but since extension update I cannot move one folder into another this is true with the web version. Why make it so hard when it use to be so easy. They have taken a great password manger and are making it horrible to use. If you cannot move folders around easy what good is it. And the support pages have poor to bad information. Why is Bitwarden not hearing the uses complaints and fix what use to be a great password manager.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut inOr, kolme kuukautta sittenToo bad there isn't a zero rating. I can't believe anyone likes this turd. There is no help that tells you what exactly bitwarden can and cannot do, only useless marketing hype. Will it comb my records and pick up all my passwords? Or do I have to enter them one at a time? Or does it automatically record only future passwords? I have one day to file all my passwords and there are over a hundredd of them. What's this 'My Vault thing'? A file folder somewhere? Where? What exactly does it store? Have I just wasted 45 mins. trying to get this turkey to work?
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut chris p, kolme kuukautta sittenBit warden still has not responded to me. Abandoneware...Unable to interact with the save password prompt... The extension works on chrome but not in Firefox. Desperately needs a blacklist and other features!
Cannot get any support from Bit Warden dev team - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut pozzeur, kolme kuukautta sitten
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut APR, neljä kuukautta sittenWell its ok, but also sucks. For example, it has a report that shows you where you reuse passwords. If you have a single entry that has two different URL's like parts.ford.com and ford.com, it counts that as two passwords, however it is only one. And if from that report you try to delete one, it deletes them both. This kind of BS goes on throughout the app. It seems to be developed by folks who don't think deeply.
Another example? No 2 sites on the internet agree on what makes a password. Some only only all 10 characters, some 20, some restrict what special characters can be used, others dont. Instead of letting you quickly adjust when adding a site or changing a password you have to go change the default settings for the password generator, and then remember to set them back to something secure. Just asinine. - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut murf, neljä kuukautta sitten1 step forward 2 steps back. Each realease makes annoying ui changes that make it less user friendly. Latest version, ctrl+y to (in firefox) doesn't give focus to the search vault. It may sound trivial, but when I use this password manager in very delicate environments, using the mouse to search is a pain in th a$$
