Detoxify 2.0 — a quieter YouTube

Big rebuild for Firefox (now Manifest V3). More control, cleaner UI, same privacy promise: everything runs locally in your browser.

What’s new
• Hide Shorts more thoroughly — shelves, cards, search, and related surfaces
• Block Shorts player — optional redirect from /shorts to Home
• Hide Shorts in the sidebar (and related tabs when available)
• Hide Playables / games promo shelves
• Keyword blocklist — hide home feed cards by title or channel
• Presets — Soft, Balanced, Max focus, plus save your own
• Live updates — toggles apply without reloading the tab
• New popup — brutalist control panel with a settings screen
• Light / dark theme for the popup
• Shared modern codebase for more reliable behavior going forward

Defaults
Fresh install starts with features off. Pick a preset or turn on what you want.

Privacy
Still local-only. No tracking, no accounts, no data sent to Detoxify servers. Preferences stay in extension storage.

Notes
Built and tested for desktop Firefox. Mobile YouTube (Firefox for Android) is not a primary target in this release. If something still shows up after a YouTube layout change, reload the page or report it—DOM changes can break selectors.
