- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Surf, seitsemän päivää sittenRecent app updates want to track:
Browsing activity — potentially information about the websites/pages you visit.
Website content — potentially the contents of pages you view.
Personally identifying information (PII) — information that can identify you, such as names, email addresses, addresses, etc.
It didn't need it before so why now? Uninstalling.Kehittäjän vastaus
lähetetty kuusi päivää sittenNothing about how Keepa handles data changed in this update.
Mozilla now requires every add-on to declare data categories from a fixed list, and Firefox displays them on update.
What Keepa does: on an Amazon product page it sends that product's ASIN to keepa.com to draw the price chart. It is not logged and not retained. Nothing is stored unless you choose to track a product. The "personally identifying information" line refers to your Keepa session token - a login credential for your own account, not your name or email. We think that's the wrong label and have asked Mozilla to change it to "authentication information".
The extension runs only on Amazon product pages. - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Michael, seitsemän päivää sittenVery helpful tool. I use the free tier and it covers the basics. Anyone worried about the recent permissions update: TLDR; nothing new as far as I can see.
Under Manifest V2 (v4.19), permissions and host access were lumped together under one simple umbrella.
Under Manifest V3 (v5.63), web browsers separate functional browser permissions (like saving your settings) from target host permissions (the actual websites the code can touch).
Because the code structure changed to the modern template, Firefox handles this as a permission change and forces a manual review, even though Keepa is still only targeting Amazon and Keepa domains to overlay its pricing graphs. - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Sam, seitsemän päivää sitten
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 20096881, seitsemän päivää sittenGradually increasing pricing for premium options and now scraping more and more user data. no thank you, uninstalled.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut smtips, kaksi kuukautta sittenTrickery have to pay 30 bucks a MONTH to use this properly. When I clicked to see a price history I was appalled to be taken to keepa's site where they wanted to charge 29 euros a MONTH for a firefox addon. Paypal Honey is FREE. I will just keep using that one.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 19923143, kolme kuukautta sittenStopped tracking digital products without notification, causing me to miss several good deals. I was only using it to track ebooks, so it's useless now to me. Switched to Camelcamelcamel instead.
- Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut knightblue, neljä kuukautta sittenAbsolutely PHENOMENAL service to offer for free. It's super helpful to get price alerts and more importantly price HISTORY for almost every item I can find on Amazon! Thank you!!

- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut L19, kuusi kuukautta sittenAfter years of usage they suddenly dropped the limit of tracked items from thousands to 200, without any notice and making impossible to even modify existing trackers. Wil move to another tracker.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 13511828, kuusi kuukautta sittenFree alerts downgraded to 200 listings. Now costs an insane €290 a year subscription. This extension doesn't even save me €290 a year. Bunch of clowns.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut KettleCornPop, kuusi kuukautta sittenEnshitification begins! It's now limited to 200 items unless you upgrade!!!
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut jstrommen, kuusi kuukautta sittenPlugin used to be good for tracking items until devs set a 200 product limit. Pro subscription is not worth the cost just to increase that limit.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut User, seitsemän kuukautta sittenFree version is now limited to 200 trackings. For more you have to buy the pro version for 29 EUR/month. No, thanks. I'm gonna checkout CamelCamelCamel now.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut anywhyte, seitsemän kuukautta sittenWhat are these clowns up to? After using them on Amazon for a decade and with around 3,000 live trackings, they've suddenly, one random afternoon (3 Feb. 2026), blocked my adding any further trackings until I've 'deleted one' (what they seem to mean is, I must delete ALL trackings except a useless 200, before adding any more!).
I use keepa solely as a private individual, nothing to do with any business, so 'all' I'm doing is making money for keepa and Amazon (i.e. ANY sellers on Am. who hit my target prices for CDs, books, DVDs etc. for my collections). I've bought FAR more stuff since using keepa than before, but at what I can prove at a glance to be historically more sensible prices.
keepa have the nerve to suggest I should now pay around 30 euros PER MONTH (yes, really) to continue using the service as before (i.e. as before plus a load of useless crap I don't want or need as solely a buyer of stuff).
Thanks a bunch keepa. Now I have to transfer my whole tracking list to another platform. Dolts. - Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut P. Almeida, seitsemän kuukautta sittenWas a very decent price tracker until they suddenly changed their free tier tracking limit from 5000 to... 200!!! Enshitification.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Whatzet2U, seitsemän kuukautta sittenStopped working with lists and they want you to pay a ridiculous subscription fee to restore that capability. Too bad. Guess it's back to CamelCamelCamel
- Arvioitu 2/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 14506442, seitsemän kuukautta sittenit was good when it worked, but now it only says
"Firefox Can’t Open This Page
To protect your security, keepa.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window."
but opening Keepa's frame in a new window doesn't load, so it's useless on Firefox now!
edit: The Camelizer - Price Tracker still works on FIrefox, but it requires you manually click it to see the price, compared to how Keepa used to automatically show it on the main product page (back when it worked.) - Arvioitu 2/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 16686542, kahdeksan kuukautta sitten
