Click on the extension icon in the top right of your browser (see screenshots on the store), there you will find the extension settings including an instance input where you can either select a predefined instance or enter a custom one. Make sure you include the entire URL for a custom instance, removing any trailing slashes, e.g. https://this-is-an-instance.com
