Thanks for this, only issue is that it moves the focus of the tab bar so that the new tab is all the way to the left instead of it leaving the focus as is. I suspect this has to do with the way the tab gets shuffled around immediately after opening it? (edit:I should make clear this only happens with a newtab not when opening a link or anything)

I'm trying to replace the functionality I used to get from Tab Mix Plus now that it's not compatible with Firefox anymore and this combined with "Tab Deque" gets me most of the way there. Thanks!

Great extension however Firefox 57 appears to already open tabs to current!

It was perfect, but now it opens multiple tabs in the wrong order.
According to the author that's the way it should be, despite default Firefox behavior being different.
I can't recommend the extensions that changes something it shouldn't change, and when other alternatives available.

It works, but it goes to the last tab and so it goes back to the right place.

Je retrouve une des fonctions que j'appréciais dans Tab Mix Plus (obsolète). Quand on travaille sur un onglet qui se trouve à 30 onglets de la fin et qu'on en ouvre un nouveau depuis le courant, c'est super de l'avoir juste à côté plutôt que de dérouler jusqu'à la fin de la liste... Par contre on ne peut pas différencier le comportement entre un nouvel onglet vierge et un ouvert depuis l'onglet courant.
J'apprécie tout de même cette petite extension.

Works just like you would want to, most of the time.

Can you add an option that only put tabs opened by current tab to the right? But still put new tab opened by click "+" and bookmark to the last.

This replaces part of the functionality lost in tab mix plus!!

Could you add an option to switch to the left tab when closing the current tab?

This used to have an option to "Enable for new tab button" or not. Is there any way to bring it back?

And as usual Firefox mavens are responsible for the one remaining annoyance with this workaround, the scrolling of the new tab into the first visible location on the tab bar. My time with Firefox is drawing to a close as my chrome setup is getting very close to replicating my preferred firefox behaviour. Regardless of the idiotic decsions of the powers that be at mozilla, thanks very much for your efforts.

Is it supposed to work on Android 7.1.1 Firefox? Because it doesn't on mine.
