   VizTrack is an AI-powered LinkedIn job tracking service consisting of a browser extension (Chrome and Firefox) and a web dashboard. This policy explains how
   we collect, use, and protect your information.
2. What Data We Collect

Account Data
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name through our authentication provider (Clerk). We do not store your password —
authentication is handled entirely by Clerk.

LinkedIn Page Data (via Browser Extension)
When you browse LinkedIn with the VizTrack extension installed, the extension reads publicly visible content from pages you visit:
- Job titles, company names, and locations
- Job descriptions and requirements
- Company information visible on LinkedIn pages

The extension operates in an isolated content script world using read-only DOM access only. It does not:
- Access your LinkedIn credentials, cookies, or session tokens
- Modify any page content or inject elements
- Make API calls to LinkedIn
- Automate clicks, form submissions, or any user actions
- Access private messages, connections, or non-public data

AI Classification Data
Job descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API for relevance scoring. OpenAI processes this data according to their API data usage policy, which states that API
inputs and outputs are not used to train their models.

Usage Data
We collect basic usage analytics (page views, feature usage) using privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. No personal identifiers are tracked.

   Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual positions and companies at any time. Upon account deletion, all
   associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.

   We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. API access is authenticated with API keys. The browser extension never transmits your
   LinkedIn credentials or session tokens.

GDPR (EU/EEA Residents): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, port your data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a
complaint with your supervisory authority.

CCPA (California Residents): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, opt-out of the sale of personal information
(we do not sell your data), and non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
