mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansThis was a due to a server outage, and a bug preventing it from using the backup server properly when the main server is down.
Server is back so it should be good now, and I'll fix that bug so it doesn't completely break for other server outages in the future - Noté 5 sur 5par vasiliy, il y a 2 ansI like the idea and the implementation very much, well done and thanks to the author!

- Noté 5 sur 5par hamsterwolf, il y a 2 ansThis is, without a doubt, THE best extension I've ever seen on Firefox. Browsing YouTube is now a pleasant, stress-free experience that no longer makes me feel irritated or angry by moronic thumbnails. I just wish we could toggle it for certain channels since I do enjoy seeing Binging Wish Babish's thumbnails, but that's an extremely small price to pay for the peace of mind this brings.
- Noté 4 sur 5par ds, il y a 2 ansit's great but when i open youtube video it's lag unit somthing happen which i suspect is loading recomnded video thumbnail i have i laptop with 16 gigabyte of ram i think that could be the reson for this lags

- Noté 3 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15007095 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansUnfortunately it conflicts with "BlockTube", which is number 2 priority addon for me for youtube (3 is being SponsorBlock), so i have to disable it for now. But otherwise it's pretty good so far.
Reply (12.07):
I think i mostly have the default settings, but to be fair, its kind of a little buggy addon by itself, and i never found any better alternative.
It did work ok 3-4 days before that (ignoring the thumbnail and general lag), but after that some videos just suddenly stopped playing altogether, and other ones break mid-play, and disabling "dearrow" instantly stopped all of it.Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansInteresting, it shouldn't. Are there specific settings you have enabled in BlockTube that conflict?
Edit: oh that's a separate issue, but that should be fixed now - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15695248 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansI have been dreaming of this addon for years. Ajay Ramachandran is a god among us. Thank you Ajay for all that you do!
- Noté 4 sur 5par showers, il y a 2 ansI absolutely love this addon and the concept behind it, but unfortunately, it seems to be very resource-intensive, causing my videos to chug along and lag for the first few seconds while it attempts to load many thumbnails, on top of causing all thumbnails to load slowly...

mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansThe thumbnail generation service I'm running has gone down to due a storage issue, so it is falling back to local generation, which is probably causing those issues. I'll look into making the local generation work better in the future when outages happen. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 17970984 de Firefox, il y a 2 ansI think this add-on is a great idea, and like many other reviewers, I didn't really know I needed this until I turned it on.
Currently, my only issue is that this app seems to really mess with the initial loading of videos, like it will stutter or not start in the first 10~20 seconds before returning to normal performance.
This will only get better as more people start contributing to the process, but even now, not being exposed 24/7 to clickbait and other means to tug at your attention span makes a world of difference.
Edit: Thank you for the response. It seems thumbnail generation service is back online, and as long as local generation performance can be improved, I think that might be the better long term solution, but I'm not here to tell you how to run the add-on.Réponse du développeur

Wish it had more community contributions but that will come with time. Love that it's open source, keep up the good work

mis en ligne : il y a 2 ansThe idea is to have an easy enough free access system to not cause any issues like that, but time will tell how it works out - Noté 4 sur 5par Dark Moyan, il y a 2 ansI never knew I need this but now I really need this. I just hope you will add Original vs custom/random thumbnail so we could see the original and the random one.

- Noté 1 sur 5par hoggys2much, il y a 2 ansTotal utter garbage! Tried it and Youtube completely DIED on me. Pages were still trying to load even after 5 minutes. Nothing worked, I had to close down all my Youtube tabs and it slowed down Firefox something rotten. I have deleted this utter garbage from add-ons. Do not use.

As described in an earlier reply, I am current working on a fix for improved performance on Firefox. I should have it out today or tomorrow :)
