Unfortunately, this extension is unusable for me. It appears this extension does not play well with multiple tabs. I often have 100-200 tabs open at any given time. As soon as I scan the QR code to link the extension to my mobile app, all of my tabs refresh at once presumably because 2FAS is doing something in the background for each of them. My task manager shows that my CPU and memory skyrocket. Firefox went from using 765 MB of memory to over 3000 all at once. Firefox became completely unusable and unresponsive; it took a very long time for my inputs to even register closing all my windows and tabs so I could even get Firefox's extension manager to load so I could uninstall it. As soon as I did, Firefox functionality went back to normal and it had no problem with how many tabs I had open. I was excited to be able to use this extension so I could use 2-factor authentication on my browser directly, but looks like it's not in the cards with the way the extension is currently implemented.

Hi! We are fully aware of this issue and have already fixed It in version 1.4.1 - stay tuned for an update!

    Browser started popping up unprovoked "promo-newtab.club" links which tried to redirect to Russian sites.

    This plugin per grep below was the culprit found via the GUID in about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox

    Kann Export - Automatisches ausfüllen via Addon - fast perfekt! Fehlt nur ein Kurzbefehl zum triggern des 2FAS Addons im Browser.

    Extension isn't working, it says "Browser Extension data error, Please reinstall browser extension or contact with 2FAS Support on Discord" I've reinstalled the extension but the error is still there.

    The extension should work standalone without smartphone.

    The extension is ok, I have used it in Firefox and Chrome for a year now due to Authy shutting down the desktop client, however you still need your phone to confirm before it will send the code. I wish the extension would just generate codes on the computer.

    Basically pointless. I tried this in the hopes of not having to hunt down and unlock my phone when needing a code, but you still have to do so. Why install another extension which requires full access to my browser for such an insignificant workflow change that isn't even easier.

    You still need to manually approve on the mobile app each time you need 2FA.

    I wanted 2FA authentication from my desktop, so I don't always need to grab my phone, log in, go to home screen, open the app, approve, BLAH BLAH. Still the same huge hassle with this extension.

    For those people saying "bUT yoU wIlL gET HAcKeD!!!11!!", no, if this was an actual 2FA-extension then you would be able to set up your PC/Browser to be the second authentication.

    After Authy announcing the end of their desktop app I was looking for an alternative and found 2FAS, an open source project (foss), it was my final choice because it has the option to export your data and therefore allowing you to migrate somewhere else easily if needed, thing that Authy didn't have... now if I want to change I'll just export it somewhere else, no more setting up all accounts again.

    Funktioniert sehr gut. Empfehle zuerst das Video anzuschauen, dann seht Ihr wie es funktioniert. Und natürlich braucht man weiterhin sein Gerät mit der App (sonst wäre es ja auch mein MFA)
