    Something that really irritates me is copying text from PDFs or websites to be translated, because the line breaks confuse the translator. This extension works perfectly, thank you very much!
    To make it even better, I suggest you add:
    1 - A shortcut key that pastes the text with pre-configured formatting
    2 - An option to paste the text in parts, limited to 5000 characters (than the limit of Google Translate) each time the paste command is activated.

    I am considering extending the functionality of the extension in the future, probably along the lines of automatically running the line break removal when a copy was initiated from a PDF viewer, and collapsing multiple line breaks into a single one.

    Your character limit is an interesting suggestion, I will see how much it fits into the scope of functionality of the extension. Otherwise, I suggest using DeepL instead, I think the limit is the same but it will still translate the first 5000 characters and you can just delete the beginning of the pasted text to have the rest translated. (And it is better from a privacy point of view and, in my opinion, translation quality by far.)

    This is an excellent and useful extension that solves a common problem when cutting and pasting from PDFs and other on-screen text where the horror of extra line-breaks on pasting is very prevalent. It would also be great to have as a stand-alone tool.
    Deserves to be more widely known and used.

    Install, then make sure the remove line breaks icon (a small clipboard) is showing on firefox's toolbar.

    Step by step use:
    Copy text to clipboard.
    Click the little clipboard item mentioned above. A green tick means that your text on the clipboeard is now ready to paste without formatting and surplus line breaks.
    You can of course paste into other programs than firefox as well.

    Indeed, the motivation to create the extension was copying from PDFs. I'm thinking of checking whether the extension could detect when that happens and run the clipboard cleansing action automatically.

    Apart from that, is there anything else you would feel necessary in the add-on for it to deserve that last, fifth star in your review? :)
