There is also one similar already, but the developer seems to be that doesnt have interest to port it in a webextension

The downside is that any double click (enlarging a map or highlighting a link) also closes the tab. If the sensitivity or the timing of the clicks could be adjusted it would be a really helpful extension. Sadly I had to disable it. Way too many tabs disappeared.

Could resolve it by making it work in a limited screen areas.
BTW, It would be nice to pin/unpin and scroll between the tabs with a mouse wheel in a same way.
