Visiting bbc.com shows a 1 in the URL bar. Clicking it, redirects to webcompat's github site and shows the bbc.com compatibility issue.The github page afer clicking the 1 in the URL barGoogle has more than 9 issues so you get an infinity symbol. Clicking it will send you to the webcompat github issuesWhen there are more than 9 issues, a tool tip tells you the total numberVimeo has no known open issues so you see the extension logo in the URL bar instead of a number. Clicking the icon will still send you to the github page that has several closed webcompat issues

Incompat is a companion for https://webcompat.com. It helps track compatibility bugs for sites that you build or use every day.

If you want to see web compatibility bugs on sites you build or use, just install this extension and it will pull data from https://webcompat.com and make it visible to you in the URL bar after pages load.

A web compatibility bug is a bug when a page works in one browser but not in another. It might work on a browser on desktop but have issues in the same browser on mobile.

The cause of these bugs is usually developers that use features that are not available in all browsers. Volunteers track, troubleshoot even contact the site authors and help them overcome these issues.
