Firefox Relay par Firefox

par wolfgang8741, il y a 4 ansA welcome email relay service which may improve tracing down data breach origins, but a usability issues exists where premium subscribers using the Firefox extension and selecting "Generate Alias" generates not with the subdomain at this time which is the only reason to remove a star from an otherwise five star extension.
While the primary objective of the relay may be privacy, use cases such as data breach and contact information resale tracing are possible with these custom email aliases. Being able to track which site a custom alias is associated means being able to trace a breach or sale to the original account. (I'm not as concerned with privacy with subdomain use as I am excited about traceability of data sharing origins)

mis en ligne : il y a 4 ansHi wolfgang8741, thank you for the kind review and the feedback. For the subdomain aliases, they're really great because they're is no need to have the add-on actually generate them, you can easily create them on the fly. For example if you're on your favorite music streaming site you can just type in for the email music@yoursubdomain.mozmail.com and emails will start flowing through to that alias. Or if you're on a news site you could do newssite@yoursubdomain.mozmail.com. We created the subdomain feature for convenience in creating an alias, especially in person or when you're on a mobile app and don't have easy access to the add-on. We do encourage you to use random generated aliases as much as you can though, as a randomly generated alias has a lot more privacy benefits. Thank you!

- Noté 5 sur 5par Lilith D. Bracken, il y a un moisFirefox Relay is a really useful tool for protecting your email and privacy. It lets you create email aliases that forward to your real inbox, so you can sign up for websites without sharing your personal address. It helps reduce spam and keeps your real email safer from hackers. Simple to use, works automatically, and makes managing online accounts much more secure.

- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13690719 de Firefox, il y a 3 moisI've been using Mozilla and DuckDuckGo privacy services for years, and subscribing when that is available. Mozilla and DDG are both doing a great job protecting our privacy and our inboxes. A fan of both, I have to say that Mozilla have nailed this one - it is so simple, so transparent and so well-integrated into online workflows. I've seen the complaints of others - domain denied, no amazon login, ... - and can report that at least today these are no longer issues. Great job, Mozilla!!

- Noté 2 sur 5par majesticmini, il y a 3 moisI so favor how you mask users' email addresses, but when will you let us remove the command icon beside filling in any email address? The tab key is much easier when your command icon is not aligned with it. Please provide the option for a better rating.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Mark Phire, il y a 4 moisIt's something good to be able to block your e-mail address, but some websites give an error message that says "this domain is not allowed". But also others can use it for spam and block their e-mail address as well.
