We have a free plan that costs $0 and allows you to secure your internet connection with no ads, no logs, and provides the same level of privacy and security as our paid plans. Anyone can sign up for our free plan, and we don't ask for any payment details during signup.

    Россия. Не работает даже открытие окна расширения. А на сайт ProtonVPN без прокси и других средств войти невозможно.

    Причём на телефоне (Android) подключение удаётся через раз, а как расширение для браузера или служба (в Linux) не работает -- не удаётся подключиться.

    Как оно может обходить блокировки и прочее, если само недоступно -- непонятно.

    I made a account just to make a review, on my issue. (hopefully this extension gets better)

    I like Proton a lot. Why? Because Proton is just a amazing company in general. Their VPN is one of the best, and their free VPN is the best non-paid VPN in the market.

    However, I've had some problems with their VPN extension. I have limited freedom, I cannot enable the kill switch, change my VPN protocol to something like Stealth (that was created by Proton) to bypass VPN blocks and censorship.

    On a heavily restricted, locked down WiFi network (I'm talking Amazon.com, Github.com, DuckDuckGo.com are all blocked and much more), the VPN extension is blocked despite me being signed in and it working on a hotspot and other networks without restrictions. I've used the VPN app with Stealth and it's worked fine on the network, but the extension doesn't work.

    I hope that this extension improves in the future and addresses this issue. Thank you Proton.

    Thank you for your review. Some public networks (e.g. in schools, hotels, airports, workplaces, etc.) tend to apply restrictions in order to prevent harmful activities and keep track of the traffic flowing. That said, the browser extension uses HTTPS. This is the only connection protocol supported by modern browsers. With that in mind, if you cannot connect using the extension, we suggest using the native Proton VPN app with the Stealth protocol, which was designed for this specific purpose.

    This extension can be good or useless.
    the issue is it automatically connects you to a server, they say it use the fastest one but actually its random. for me for example netherland and romani servers works good but it auto connects me randomly to USA and Poland which do not work so i have to press the change btn a lot of times to randomly get netherland or romani. the system actually sucks it didnt used to be this way

    The default Quick connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. If you'd like to connect to a specific server in a country of your choice, you may consider upgrading your plan.

    Los problemas de conectividad se debían al software Killer Performance Suite y Killer Performance Driver Suite UWD de Intel. Una vez desinstalados, la conexión es inmediata.


    Faltan funcionalidades básicas que sí están implementadas en el software para escritorio. Desearía, por ejemplo, definir un servidor favorito al que se conecte siempre.

    Proton ¿cuándo implementarán Túnel dividido con nombres de dominio en el software de escritorio?

    電腦自休眠或睡眠喚醒後 chrome 版會自動重新連線，但 firefox 版只會是斷線而且連線狀態還顯示正常卻無法上網。
