- Noté 5 sur 5par vignesh, il y a 3 moisEdit (2025-11-21): This extension is now redundant since you can just open the video in full-screen and click on the new "comments button" to open them to the side.
For the people leaving a bad rating or review: the extension DOES still work. You need to click on the toggle button at the top right of the comment section (below the video) to make the comments move to the sidebar. This is pointed out in the third screenshot on the Firefox extension page and an earlier review.
To the developer: Consider making the toggle "on" by default when the extension is installed, as users clearly expect the sidebar to be on the right when they installed and enabled the extension. Adding instructions of use to the Firefox extension page and extension "manage" section in the settings page would also be helpful. Other than that, the extension is working good so far. - Noté 5 sur 5par joji, il y a 3 moisTried it today 16/08/2025 and works fine!
*edit: actually some times it needs a refresh of the page to work. - Noté 5 sur 5par zs, il y a 4 moisDoes exactly what it says. No more annoying scrolling back and forth between the video and the comment section.
- Noté 1 sur 5par rawenj, il y a 4 moisEDIT: Installing an older version of the extension fixed the issue. Not exactly sure why the newest update breaks it entirely.
I love this add-on but with the recent update it has stopped functioning :( - Noté 5 sur 5par Shandyasshead, il y a 4 moisN̶o̶ l̶o̶n̶g̶e̶r̶ w̶o̶r̶k̶s̶ u̶n̶f̶o̶r̶t̶u̶n̶a̶t̶e̶l̶y̶ The add-on does indeed still work, however the latest firefox update caused a bug which hides the toggle. Reinstall the addon and it works fine.
- Noté 5 sur 5par Hannes, il y a 4 moisIt works. And for anybody, who says it doenst work: Scrol down to the comments, and in this section you will find a arrow button in the top right corner (rigt over the bar, where you could write a comment)
- Noté 5 sur 5par 1234567, il y a 7 moisLoving it, not sure why it's not working for other people, I have like 10 other YT extensions and its working flawlessly. The only time it doesn't (which is my one and only complaint with it) is when I open a YouTube link to load in the background which makes it just not appear for some reason, but I'm not sure if that's on the extension or on the way firefox works.
5 stars regardless tho, exactly what I was looking for! - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13613097 de Firefox, il y a un anJust click a button. No configuration required. It's as simple as that.
- Noté 3 sur 5par Stefaan, il y a un anStopped working for me on 09/27/24. no other extensions installed

- Noté 1 sur 5par Scientist07, il y a 2 ansEDIT (Jan 5, 2025): NOT WORKING
It seems this add-on does not work well with tabs open in the background. I often browse youtube by opening vids in other tabs, then going to them when needed.
Doing that however, I see that this add-on does not load on those inactive tabs and comments are still on the bottom. The only way the addon works on those pages, is if I refresh the page. - Noté 5 sur 5par Blibby, il y a 2 ansSidesy emerges as a savior from YouTube's layout blunder, adeptly relocating comments to the side of the video. This intuitive Firefox extension tackles the frustration of missing video content when scrolling down to engage with comments, a glaring oversight in YouTube's design. In the rare instance Sidesy requires a reset, a simple off-and-on toggle followed by a page refresh effortlessly does the trick. This minor troubleshooting step is a small price to pay for the seamless engagement Sidesy reinstates. Earning a stellar 5/5 rating, Sidesy is a must-have for those seeking a rich, uninterrupted YouTube viewing and engagement experience.
- Noté 5 sur 5par Ben Dover, il y a 2 ansSeriously amazing extension that completely elevates the youtube experience to another level. I don't think i would be able to go back to the old comments layout since i feel as if I miss too much of the video that is playing in the background while I'm scrolling down looking at the comments. The only thing i would like to be able to change is the width of the comments window (even though I'm not sure if its even possible), but with that being said its not such a big deal and i still love the extension. 100% would recommend to my grandma.
- Noté 5 sur 5par biggsley, il y a 2 anscan you make the screen split line adjustable? current comments section is too wide.

Would love to learn more about the issue you're facing. - Noté 4 sur 5par relay, il y a 3 ansSometimes works, when it doesn't I have to refresh the page until it does. Otherwise, great.
- Noté 4 sur 5par Toastie, il y a 3 ansSimple and Neat, works perfectly.
Would be nice to have an option to both hide the movement button (keeping it to the plugin setting), and to have it move there by default instead of having to select it every time the YouTube page reloads.
All in all, great plugin!Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 3 ansThanks for the feedback! The 'memory' feature to set a default placement for the comments is in the works :) - Noté 3 sur 5par Re'soul, il y a 3 ansIt's nice if you're not in wide mode but i mainly watch videos in wide mode defeating the point of using it but still nice to have for when you're not in wide mode
