- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 15352451 de Firefox, il y a 4 ansWorks Nicely. I had one website that continued to reload after configuring about:config to stop reloads, this addon stopped it.
- Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 16792125 de Firefox, il y a 4 ansIt works perfect in every website except of this: https://www.capital.gr/ . When this website tries to reload , the addon works well and doesnt allow it , but in the same time scroll bar automaticaly , goes up on the top of the page ,and then i have to scroll down and search , in which point of the page i was reading before , which is annoying. Please fix it .Thank you.

mis en ligne : il y a 4 ansTo keep the page from scrolling, you'll need to install an extension like FireMonkey or Violentmonkey (I only tested with these two). Then create a new script and save the following in it:
// ==UserScript==
// @name Capital disable scroll before reload
// @namespace https://www.capital.gr/
// @match https://www.capital.gr/
// @grant none
// @run-at document-end
// @version 1.0
// ==/UserScript==
const myScript = document.createElement('script');
myScript.textContent = 'gotoPositionAfterRefresh = function(elementID) {}';
document.body.appendChild(myScript); - Noté 5 sur 5par Rusty, il y a 4 ansDoes what it says. The about:config flag "accessibility.blockautorefresh" was not working on independent.co.uk for me for some reason (thought it works fine for other sites such as buzzfeednews.com), and this add-on is doing the job just great. Thanks!
ETA: There is one problem though, the add-on also disables manually reloading/refreshing black listed sites/domains. I suppose it's easy enough to just load a duplicate tab and close the original, but not quite ideal. Ymmv. - Noté 5 sur 5par Sea Eagle, il y a 4 ans

result: REFRESH and again and again...i really think this is a fake add on
on repubblica.it it fails...i've setted this:
List of hostnames (one per line).
repubblica.it

If a tab is stopped from auto reloading, don't allow it to load a URL that starts with one of the following URLs:
https://www.repubblica.it/index.html?refresh - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 16860713 de Firefox, il y a 4 ansouf, marre des auto update des pages web
- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 16961747 de Firefox, il y a 4 ansFor some unbelievably stupid reason, most newspaper sites auto reload every 5 minutes. It is crazy. Thank you for this add-on, which stops that.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Cris Jolliff, il y a 4 ansDoes not work on Pinterest.com, unfortunately this was the sole website I loaded the plugin for. Happy to work with developer on solution, but I'm just a user, not a programmer...

mis en ligne : il y a 4 ansWhen a page is reloaded, the tab activity indicator or throbber will appear on the tab (ping-ponging dots, hourglass, or spinning circle). When I set my computer date ahead by a day and select a Pinterest tab, new pictures will load, but there is no tab throbber. It looks like only part of the page is being refreshed. This extension can't stop something like that. - Noté 5 sur 5par Ramon V M, il y a 5 ansI needed Twitter to stop reloading automatically after a tab was inactive for several hours. I did not know that after installing the addon I had to reload the tab for the program to take effect. I assumed that it was not working and I contacted the developer by mail who answered me immediately. And after a few messages he told me that I had to write Twitter.com at the host window and reload the tab for it to work for the first time. And indeed, it worked! Thank you! :D

mis en ligne : il y a 5 ansSorry, the extension won't work on Chrome. When this extension blocks a tab from auto reloading, Chrome will show an error page.- Noté 5 sur 5par Nijaz Muratović, il y a 5 ansWorks perfectly on kilx.ba which use http meta refresh 270s, also number of blocked refreshes works fine.

However, the developer looked into it, and he won it over at last! This is the first "stop auto reload" extension that works on that site, as far as I know. The developer reacted quickly to my comment, and the problem was fixed in 48 hours or so.
5 stars fully deserved!!Réponse du développeur
mis en ligne : il y a 5 ansThe extension has been updated and there is a now a section in the Options page that can stop a different URL from loading, if a tab is currently being stopped. Input "https://www.repubblica.it/index.html?refresh_ce" in that textarea and that should stop "https://www.rebublica.it/" from refreshing. - Noté 5 sur 5par webbertiger, il y a 6 ansExactly what I need. This addon remembers the specific websites that I want to stop the reloading, not others.
- Noté 5 sur 5par Julio, il y a 6 ansTested and working fine with newspapers in Argentina (La Nacion & Infobae)
- Noté 5 sur 5par syncfx, il y a 6 ansready good. I have been looking for this feature for many years. an excellent complement when the accessibility.blockautorefresh was not working. BRAVO to the developer @kgersen
- Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13404087 de Firefox, il y a 6 ansI have been trying to stop drudgereport.com from auto reloading for some time. I tried noscript and ublock origin with no luck. I stumbled onto this addon and decided to try it out.
The first thing I tried was to add the url to the list...no luck. Then tried the host name...again no luck.
Then I remembered I could open the source code. I did and near the top was the auto reload code. I copied this line:
function autoRefresh()self.location.reload(true)
into the regular expression box and changed the (true) to (false) VOILA!.
That worked.
Now all that refreshes is the favico. LOL - Noté 4 sur 5par Michael0591, il y a 6 ansWorks well with auto refresh on newspaper websites in Australia.
