It doesn't change the tab colour UNTIL you click on the tab ! What's the point of that ?! All tabs are still the same system colour UNTIL you click on them ! They should all be a different colour all the time.

Firefox window began blinking different colors and became mostly nonresponsive. I could only get this to stop by removing the extension.

As others have noted, the description is misleading. I suspect that the author doesn't know what most people mean when they say "tab".

Also, the functionality, as near as I can gather, is useless. The whole window is colored according to the current tab, but other tabs have no distinguishing color. I think most people are looking for a way of enhancing information about the tabs, to easily choose the one you're seeking. This doesn't do that.

This add-on would get 5 stars if only the user could disable the drop shadow on the text within the tabs as an option.
When you need a contrasting text/background, the drop shadow makes black text on white background look VERY blured and very indistinct making tab text rather difficult to see.
If only I/we could disable the drop shadow on the tab text this would be a great add-on.

It is useless for mee: I need somthing which colors an INACTIVE Tab to mark the important tabs, this plugin colors only the active tab

Does what is says. I used it in a 'boring' way: I customised it to 2 shades of grey, instead of any of the cheerful colours on offer by default. All I wanted was to be able to highlight more clearly the current, active tab in the tab bar. By using grey I did this without drawing attention away from the actual content of individual tabs, which I found happened when I used any of the very bright alternative colours.

Nice but could use a couple of additional features:
1: make colors customizable
2. allow more colors
3. make hover active and hover inactive customizable

The option to customize your colors exists, but it is a little hidden. You must see in your Extensions, then Tab Colors and in the top right, where are three dots, click them and you will see the Options.

This addon works to significant degree, but there is a problem with the preferences screen.

The preferences screen for this addon is not great. I could not figure how to set the colors. I managed to make some changes, but I could not figure out the process for setting them.

The random color setting works well, except the colors are awful bright, clashing with dark themes.

Absolutely false and misleading description. This add-on gives no control on individual tab. Totally useless

Excellent extension. It helps me to identify when I'm on a production, staging or local development when building website. However One big point that could really be improved, is the possibility to add multiple URLs in the input field or having templates of colors.

I want all my production website on red, staging yellow etc.. And it take a long amount of time to configure each of them.
