What is it?

This add-on allows you to export all open tabs from a window as shortcut files or as a text file containing all the links:

.URL for Windows

.desktop for Linux

.webloc for macOS

.txt (Text file)

.HTML

Full .HTML


You can also export them as .HTML files, either just the HTML document or including all local resources (images, scripts, style sheets, etc.). For convenience, all files are packaged into a ZIP archive.

How to use it?
Click the extension button and a ZIP file will be downloaded containing all the open tabs from the active window.

Privacy
Your information is never transmitted or disclosed. All processing happens locally in your browser.

Settings
In the extension options you can:

Choose the type of file to generate

Decide whether to export only the active window or all open windows

Issues and fixes
The full HTML export option may take longer to generate the ZIP file, especially if many tabs are open. Also, some websites may not look exactly the same when opening the exported file.

Does TabsToFile work on the Android version of Firefox?

It includes experimental support for future versions of Firefox on Android. However, Android currently does not allow including “discarded” tabs in the ZIP. These are tabs that appear as open but Firefox does not consider active and does not keep in RAM. This is a known issue in Firefox for Android that Mozilla is expected to resolve in the coming months.
