Take care to include browser version, OS, monitor resolution, other extensions.
Potentially also screenshots because I don't know what the hell you mean with 'doesn't crop properly'. "Fit to width" should crop perfectly if you're watching 21:9 content encoded in non-21:9 aspect ratio on a 21:9 monitor.
And if you have a monitor with aspect ratio wider than 21:9 (this one Samsung), you should use 'Force aspect ratio' option for proper letterbox removal.
(Also please note I'm currently on hiatus due to some personal issues. If all goes well, I'll be able to continue with October)
========
EDIT: I think I might have randomly stumbled over the "doesn't crop properly" instance. There's this trailer for Salt that's 16:9 + letterbox, but the video isn't 21:9. This leads to extension cropping away too much:

Which is why there's zoom/unzoom binds.
Automatic aspect ratio was impossible(-ish)¹ a year ago. It's still impossible-ish¹ now.

¹It's actually within the realm of theoretical possibility, but whether that's gonna work with Youtube is unclear until I test it. There's also further potential complication with attempting auto-aspect ratio on youtube, vaguely outlined under this review:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ultrawidify/reviews/829521/
TL;DR: potential performance issues.
Inb4 "but it can be done on netflix" — Netflix aspect ratio "autodetection" isn't true autodetection and is only possible because IMDB generally posts aspect ratio of every movie it knows.

- Noté 2 sur 5par vandim, il y a un anWorked great until recently. After watching videos for a while (not using fullscreen) the whole window turns grey and the audio keeps playing but the tab becomes completely unresponsive and can only be fixed by closing the browser
- Noté 5 sur 5par Tiger II, il y a un anWorks perfectly, using it to stretch youtube videos to 16:9 in fullscreen (no cropping), because some videos have black bars on the left and right sides when in fullscreen, but Ultrawidify fixes that automatically, all you have to do is go into settings and select 16:9 stretch hybrid.
- Noté 1 sur 5par wando, il y a un anLags out on some videos, making them unable to be normally watched.

Not a single add on does that, but if you believe in yourself and in Tamius, it is possible. Dont let your memes be dreams!

- Noté 5 sur 5par Braix, il y a 2 ansWorks well. Ironically, I'm using it to stretch 4:3 to widescreen so it looks correct on my crt (adapter shenanigans)

- Noté 5 sur 5par Osang, il y a 2 ansI constantly watch web streaming, whether they are of individuals or movies. With the help of this add-on, the black bar issue was resolved. I'd want to thank the developer.

- Noté 1 sur 5par Luca, il y a 3 ansKeeps bugging lately and videos are stuck on the sides or corner of the screen. Older versions were far far better but not downloadable anymore

- Noté 4 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 12900474 de Firefox, il y a 3 answorks similar to madvr's black bars cropping, mpv player's autocrop script is better to cut black bars because it uses less pc resources, this extension for some reason only cuts the top and bottom black bars the side bars don't crop, screen 1366x768 youtube
