VELA Connector — Privacy Policy

VELA Connector is a browser extension that links your existing TradingView
session to the VELA desktop application running on your own computer.

What the extension accesses

• TradingView cookies (*.tradingview.com). Read via the official
  chrome.cookies API. Used solely to let the VELA desktop app open your
  TradingView charts as the already–logged-in user.

What the extension does with that data

• TradingView cookies are sent only to the VELA desktop app on your own
  machine, over the loopback address http://127.0.0.1 (a local connection
  that never leaves your computer).
• Cookies are never transmitted to VELA servers or any third party.
• The extension stores no personal data, runs no analytics, and contains no
  trackers or ads.

What is NOT collected

• No browsing history, no page content, no keystrokes.
• No personal identifiers beyond the TradingView session cookies described
  above.
• The extension does not read cookies from any site other than TradingView.

Data retention

The extension keeps nothing persistently. Cookies pass through to the local
app and are not retained by the extension itself.

Permissions justification

• cookies — read TradingView session cookies (core function).
• alarms — schedule a periodic refresh so the local app keeps a valid
  TradingView session.
• host_permissions for *.tradingview.com — read those cookies.
• host_permissions for localhost / 127.0.0.1 — deliver cookies to the
  local VELA app only.
