Vocab Explorer is a Firefox add-on for people building up their vocabulary for one, or several, languages. Users can highlight words and phrases on a webpage and search for them in an online dictionary of their choice.

Vocab Explorer allows users to highlight text in any webpage, as shown here. One way that people can try to learn languages is by reading articles online and keeping track of all the words they don't know and their definitions. Vocab Explorer facilitates this technique within Firefox by allowing users to highlight words/phrases on any web page, search them on any online dictionary/translator of their choice, and qizz yourself on the vocabulary. These highlights persist after a user closes their browser.
