Unfortunately I saw that review really late. You are definitely right that it would be a nice combination and it was my plan to combine these features in a one add-on. However, Wiki-Zero fixed the problem of not rendering formulas. So, this add-on is useless anymore (: Thus, I have developed another add-on that redirects Wikipedia requests to Wiki-Zero. It also fixes the in-page links (toc links and reference links). You can download it from here:
