This is one of the most user unfriendly pieces of software I have ever used.

Privacy and Security are inextricably linked, we close blinds in our homes and cover valuables in our vehicles to secure things we care about by not showing them to the world.

Bitwarden continues to embed Google trackers in it's website, even as that company has been recently proved to defy it own privacy policies, illegally track people are destroy evidence after the fact in federal court.

In the "About this extension" Bitwarden claims "your data stays secure and private." Yet, when I visit Bitwarden.com my IP address is logged by Google as that third party tracks me across the internet selling my information to anyone, including advertisers and goverment agencies.

Unfortunately, I've had to find a privacy respecting alternative to use until Bitwarden realizes that people are tired of having their data monetized and decides to use a service that doesn't include data collection in it's business model.

I have had pleasant results using Bitwarden. It stores my passwords safely and I feel that my internet footprint is better protected using this app.

Switched to Bitwarden from another Vault. I use the add-on in Firefox and the app on my Android phone. Works well and easy to generate passwords etc. Sometimes difficult to use same profile for multiple applications. Or when an entry is edited in the dropdown of the add-on, it may discard all info when you leave the menu for a bit. Valuable updates and free to use.

I've been using Bitwarden since 2020 which I stumbled by accident and I'm really happy I did __Though some people might take a while to get the hang of it.

It's still working with self hosted Vaultwarden I hope it's don't change in the feautre.

It's a great password manager. The free version has basically everything except 2 factor support (even self-hosted options), and the paid version is only $10/year. The client works well, and has good options for vault locking and auto-fill. I like that the password hashing function is customizable. The only feature I wish it had was LastPass's "automatically change all my passwords" functionality, but I understand why this would be a ton of work to implement. This is the password manager I use and recommend to anyone who needs a cross-platform tool (if you only need a password manager in Firefox, just use the one built in to Firefox).
