troch Beelz, ien jier lynVersion 4.9.99 and i'm still having issues with certain websites (twitch and kick in particular) causing insane lag on load, sometimes even killing the page entirely. it's not every time but it's gotten bad enough i felt the need to leave feedback at this point.

- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch 5L4Y3R, 20 minuten lynby far the most polished dark mode addon, for most people this is the one you want to use. unfortunately for mobile users who prefer to browse x.com (formerly twitter) with adblock instead of through the android x app, this extension will slow your phone to a crawl after a few hours of browsing, forcing you to clear data and quit firefox. long story short: this is a great extension, but it's not updated regularly enough for anyone to consider donating, it's clearly abandonded. check out "Dark Background and Light Text" by Mikhail Khvoinitsky for an alternative darkmode extension on Firefox
- Wurdearring: 2 fan 5troch NSEW, 2 dagen lynIt breaks too often and when it does it locks up your browser for an extended period of time.
It struggles on far too many websites and ultimately slows down the majority of website load times. Things once blinked to load and this extension makes them hang.
Sad because it use to work a whole lot better, but I find myself disabling it more and more to the point Im wondering why I even keep it. I also think this is the cause for locking up the entire browser every once in a great while. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 19943344, 3 dagen lyn

- Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 16143547, 7 dagen lynWorks on most sites, though there's currently a memory leak issue when using it on Reddit. Memory usage climbs to 6GB+ for a single tab. I'll update my rating if it's ever fixed.
- Wurdearring: 2 fan 5troch CaptainYellow, 8 dagen lynSlows down reddit to the point that it becomes completely unstable and cant load new content
- Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Kelly Bryan, 8 dagen lynReally solid extension. Clean and lightweight, fits perfectly into my workflow. Does exactly what it promises.

- Wurdearring: 2 fan 5troch gleb-yukhymenko, 8 dagen lynFrom my experience of using the extension, the add-on seems to be unsatisfactory at best, and unusable at worst. For instance, basically every site that I visited had the logo at the lop-left corner of the screen blend in with the background in terms of color. It will also sometimes just not work as expected, and by sometimes I mean almost all of the sites that I visit. Even the site on which I'm writing this review (addons(dot)mozilla(dot)org/) is in white mode while running the extension. You should really fix your utility before asking users to donate $10 (which happens immediately, mind you).

- Wurdearring: 3 fan 5troch Webzilla, 15 dagen lynWith the latest Firefox update (version 150.0.2, May 7, 2026), this extension causes slow-down in the Reddit website, and only there. Screen updates lag or become unresponsive for long durations on the Reddit site. Firefox then shows a notification bar right below the address bar saying Dark Reader is causing the slowdown. Please fix if you can.

- Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 19918529, 17 dagen lynWorks pretty well, but they broke something with the most recent update, and it's causing a huge memory leak. I had to go back to 4.9.124
- Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch Lou, 17 dagen lynUsed to be great, but more and more it'll make some sites like run 10-30x slower until they crash your browser tab. (Tested and confirmed it was this extension)
