Ghostery is a must have for FB and YT users. Don't browse without it. Particularly for YT it turns an unbearable experience into a very pleasant experience. It's also meticulously maintained.

I've left one other review for an extension (Noscript). I'm not a promiscuous reviewer. Ghostery makes the cut. Kudos to the author(s)

Been using for years, can't recommend enough

I create an account just to tell this. This is best than ublock origins actually, ublock is overrated just because of open source and no telemetry and analytics. It's much more efficient and effective in my end (android). Though not fast, like some video pop-up still showing after opening a site just block after. But overall the best one for me. You should block it in a DNS level.

Want to know the apps that I value and appreciate? The ones that are doing their advertised job, nothing more, and pretty much invisible to me. Ghostery has the perfect name because it is like a ghost (my callsign when I was flying in OV-1Ds :-) because it's doing its advertised job - blocking ads, I should say jobs plural because Ghostery does more than block ads. It gives you the intel of the DRB's who are trying to suck every 1 and 0 from your digital life so they through clever marketing schemes can manipulate your purchases. They are already manipulating our emotions (Or at least trying hard to) So no I am not digressing, Ghostery is part of the package I use to try and keep my 1's and 0's inside my private domain where they belong! Thank you Ghostery for doing what you advertise to do, and not more. (like nefarious actions under the hood.) At least I hope you aren't. I am certain I would have found a leak or something by now.
Anyway - USE Ghostery. minimal footprint. does what it says it will do and does it well indeed.
