troch A Web Developer, 3 jierren lynI'm a paid Raindrop.io subscriber and I think the service is great. The Firefox extension less so, for on simple reason: It refuses to log me in. I can log into the site just fine but the extension doesn't connect to that existing session.
Even when I do manage to log in, in every extension (Chrome, Firefox, even the mobile app) there's a good chance I'll have been logged out when I come back to the app.
I reached out for support before and was able to get logged in, but now it's no longer working again. I'm sure that I could reach out to the developer, troubleshoot it again, etc., thus why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 1. That also wouldn't stop it from logging me out every 90 days or whatever, since that session length is clearly an intentional choice on the part of the developer.
I've been using (and paying for) this service for over a year for the convenience it offers. Having to use the website or a different browser to use it drops that convenience down a couple notches.

- the much-touted UI is...basically the same as Firefox's ancient one with a few ajax flourishes
- what's worse, the UI is *very* unreliable: you move something and find out a few minutes later it didn't move at all even though the UI *showed* it in the new location; this happened dozens of times
- you can't export the collections: it would only let me export the bookmark URLs (not grouped/tagged) or the *original* data I uploaded
- the "AI" took an > 1 hour to do its "magic": with ~400 bookmarks, made a few reasonable suggestions, then *never worked again* (even after I substantially reorganized things, it'd tell me "not enough data...")
TL;DR: the extension's a pretty good front end for a service that's not worth using and won't let you export your own data. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13676056, 2 moannen lyn

No seriously. If My stuff is STORED LOCALLY. Why can I NOT ACCESS THEM OFFLINE, ACCOUNTLESS, WITHOUT RELYING ON THE SERVERS. - Wurdearring: 4 fan 5troch Shajirr, 5 moannen lynQuite powerful bookmarks manager.
What's really annoying is that unless you set
privacy.firstparty.isolate to false, you won't be able to login at all. - Wurdearring: 5 fan 5troch Firefox-brûker 13550550, 5 moannen lyngreat addon. highlight is working now.
however, the highlighted text loses hyperlink property and becomes plain text only.
it'd be great if the text could keep the hyperlink.

Also, its AI suggested organization is so so BUT better than other competitors
syncs everywhere perfectly - Wurdearring: 1 fan 5troch atprn, 7 moannen lyn
