I have no issue when browsing Reddit.com with this extension. Thus, I do not know exactly what cause the refreshing in your case.
You can try the following to make sure that there is no conflict with other extensions. 1. Close all tabs. 2. Clear browser's cache completely. (Ctrl+Shift+Delete) 3. Disable other extensions and enable this extension only. 4. Restart your browser and open Reddit again.
