Mountain View Provisions LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Archivio Validator browser extension. This Privacy Policy explains what information the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is handled.

Purpose of Website Access

Archivio Validator requires permission to run on websites you visit (<all_urls> host permission) in order to perform its core functionality. The extension analyzes content on webpages to detect and validate Archivio transparency log references and document verification data.

This access occurs locally within the user's browser and is used solely to perform validation and verification functions requested by the user. Website content is not collected by Mountain View Provisions LLC and is not transmitted to our servers.

Information Accessed by the Extension

In order to perform verification, the extension may read page content or metadata related to document signatures or transparency log references. This processing occurs locally within the browser.

The extension does not collect personal information, browsing histories, account credentials, or other identifying data for transmission to our servers.

Local Storage

Archivio Validator stores limited operational data locally on your device using the browser’s built-in storage system (such as chrome.storage.local). This information may include verification history or page fingerprints necessary for the extension’s functionality.

This data:

remains stored locally on your device
is not transmitted to Mountain View Provisions LLC
can be cleared by removing the extension or clearing browser extension storage

External Verification Requests

To validate transparency log references, the extension may send a request containing a log index value to the public transparency log infrastructure operated by Sigstore.

These requests are sent directly from your browser to Sigstore’s services and do not include personal identifiers, account information, or browsing history.

Data Collection

Mountain View Provisions LLC does not collect, store, sell, rent, or share personal data from users of the Archivio Validator extension.

Data Transmission

Aside from the verification request described above, the extension does not transmit user data to external servers.
