I plan to make the time interval the notis are shown customizable, with a 0s value they wouldn't be shown at all. Let me know if this is a usable solution for you.
On the other hand, these are notifications sent to the OS which then shows them. Depending on the OS type, it might have some way to restrict or force them to the background.
Can't promise a date as this is a hobby project, but i make this my first priority.
