The extension is well thought out. Searching and removing duplicates works decently. Deleting empty folders and joining duplicate folders too.
In contrast, the search for broken bookmarks should be improved.
First of all, most broken links are result by any reorganization of the URLs. And this means that in addition to the problem with the link, you should also check if there is a problem with the web server itself. Because if the server is running and its default address is available, the link may not be eligible for removal. This add-on does not check it, but it should. Therefore, the URL should cut off everything after the domain name and check the connection again. Because if the server is actually unavailable and also gives a 404 error, it means that the link can no longer be repaired and restored. I miss that.

    It's slow down so much it makes frozen the app. It's waited for10 minutes without any response. It's just about 16000 -24000 bookmarks to process, certainly from several bookmarks from different times.
    Interesting fact is the same addon from the same author works perfectly!!! ..in chrome based browsers(time to response fast to not:chrome,brave,vivaldi).

    The only thing I learned about this add-on is that it lives up to its name. (itwillnotbeeasy) Installed, adjusted settings, and nothing. No start, go, launch, proceed, remove, engage, button to do anything. Uninstalled, reinstalled, used defaults, still nothing. No way to make it work. PLEASE HELP

    Does what it says pretty well. Strange choice to not include a 'Select all' for the duplicate finder, but you do for broken URLs. I get you want us to keep one item remaining, but what if I don't want any of them to remain? As someone who needed to manage close to 5000 bookmarks, this did well enough.

    (Updated) Seems to work well. Rather difficult to find how to run it though. Perhaps the dev could add the instructions to the 'Description' or 'About this extension'?
