Privacy Policy for BookmarkTV for X Bookmarks

BookmarkTV for X Bookmarks is designed to run only on the user's own X bookmarks page at https://x.com/i/bookmarks and https://twitter.com/i/bookmarks.

Data the extension reads

BookmarkTV reads visible bookmark page content that X has already rendered in the user's browser. This may include post text, post URLs, account display text shown on the page, post timestamps, media preview URLs, video metadata exposed by the page, and the time the extension first indexed a visible post.

BookmarkTV does not access Firefox bookmarks, cookies, passwords, payment data, health data, location, microphone, camera, downloads, native messaging, private browser data, or remote code.

How data is used

BookmarkTV uses visible X bookmark page content to build a local index, show highlighted calendar dates, play selected days as a BookmarkTV slideshow, save loading progress, and support local export/import.

Local storage and user control

Indexed bookmark data is stored locally in Firefox extension storage on the user's device. Users can delete this local index with the extension panel's Clear button or by removing the extension from Firefox.

If a user selects an unloaded date, BookmarkTV may save that target date locally so progress can resume after a refresh. This target date is also cleared by the Clear button.

Users may export their local bookmark index to a JSON file and import it later. Exported files are created locally in the browser and are not transmitted by BookmarkTV.

Network activity and data sharing

BookmarkTV does not transmit bookmark data, page content, analytics, diagnostics, identifiers, telemetry, or exported index files to the developer or to any third-party service.

BookmarkTV does not use X APIs, OAuth, private X endpoints, analytics services, advertising networks, third-party tracking services, or remote executable code.

BookmarkTV does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data.

X.com interaction

BookmarkTV is intended for personal organization and viewing of the user's own visible X bookmarks.

BookmarkTV does not post, like, repost, quote, reply, follow, unfollow, report, delete posts, send direct messages, manage lists, or perform account actions on X.

When the user chooses to load older bookmark pages or starts BookmarkTV playback, BookmarkTV may scroll the normal X bookmarks page or open an inactive X bookmarks tab so additional visible bookmark posts can be indexed locally. This is limited to the user's own bookmarks page and uses content rendered in the browser. BookmarkTV does not bypass X authentication, does not access non-public X systems, and does not call unpublished X interfaces.

Children's privacy

BookmarkTV is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this privacy policy changes, the updated policy will be included with the add-on listing or linked from the add-on's support materials.
