Chat Exporter saves the ChatGPT conversation you're viewing as Markdown, JSON, HTML, or PDF. Pick a format from the toolbar button and the file is generated on your machine and downloaded. Nothing is ever uploaded.

Most "save to PDF" add-ons send your conversation to a hosted conversion service, so your chat is rendered on someone else's server. Chat Exporter does not. It uses Firefox's own print engine and does every step locally. No server, no account, no API key, no analytics, and no network request of any kind.

Formats
• Markdown — code blocks, tables, lists, and LaTeX preserved
• JSON — structured messages for programmatic use
• HTML — a clean, self-contained page
• PDF — printed through Firefox, with adjustable paper theme, typeface, and size

Privacy
• Runs entirely on your machine
• Requests only two site permissions (chatgpt.com, chat.openai.com) plus downloads
