It seems like icon might have been added but it might be showing on address bar due to space issue. But no worries you can always bring it there by Pressing Menu Button located at top right corner-> Customize - > drag and drop the Google Images Downloader icon into address bar.
If problem still persist please mail us to support mail.

Search for an image in google on the image page. Click on the image you want. It pops into the window at the side. Right click there and save it at the full size NOT the little image on the screen.
Simple.

I saw a download bar for images, but after the bar finished, nothing happened. Not referring to the Download (Ctrl + J) on FireFox.
