when apple attempts to herd people away from the things they love, they become an enemy of the FOSS movement. I would rather lose every Apple device and product rather than stop using Firefox. icloud passwords isn't supported on Firefox? Well then it just became another Apple thing that I wont touch.

Add-on explicitly states it does not work for Firefox

Even though I have excluded saving passwords for certain websites (as listed in the passwords app and adhered to properly in Safari), this extension still (a) asks every time whether to save the password and (b) never gives the option "never for this website". I have attempted to "resync" the extension (both by turning it off and back on, and by deleting and reinstalling) to no avail. Thoroughly disappointing.

it's janky

The only drawback, it see way to much fields as a password field making it impossible to use search fields. And you can't click away the sugested passwords.
Why not a little button next to the form field? Then i can click it to fill out a password.

Shameless artificial incompatibility. it requires you to "enable" autofill with a code every new instance, instead of just once, without any sort of setting or choice to not require that. Also is terribly buggy and will occasionally freeze your entire session. Constantly suggests "Open with safari instead" desperately trying to keep you in their ecosystem. I cannot choose which features on my macbook that I use or don't use because big brother apple will only allow me to use their password manager if I bow down and never deviate from their walled garden.

this addon is unusable. installing the app leads to a screen that says " the passwords extension is not currently available on firefox for windows".

Trash. Works beautifully until the point where Mac OS Passwords automatically autolocks, and then the extension nags you endlessly to unlock it. This happens as often as the vault autolocks - I'm guessing that's 4-8 times an hour. Utter garbage. Uninstalled.

This extension slows any website with an open textbox to the point that icloud passwords is unusable in firefox. 0/5.

Very slow, laggy. and Always I am getting notified that iCloud Passwords slowing down the Firefox. Very sad.

This extension does not integrate with Firefox's password manager - it replaces it.

I expected access to my Apple Passwords from within Firefox's existing password management workflow. Instead, I ended up with Apple's password manager grafted onto Firefox.

The extension may be useful for users who want to abandon Firefox's password manager entirely, but it is not a true integration with Firefox.

There is also no synchronization between Firefox Password Manager and Apple Passwords. Not that I personally wanted that feature, but users expecting seamless integration should be aware of this limitation.

Ironically, the experiences with APM was actually better for me in Firefox than it is in Safari.
Disappointing.

It works great exceptionally on Apple devices equipped with security chip. It fixes the gap of opening Passwords app separately, then copy and paste credentials or the availability of passkeys. There is one thing that should be considered is the resource hunger. The extension keep Firefox run with huge amounts of CPU and RAM.
