This browser extension, PokéConnect, respects your privacy. Here's how we handle your data:
1. What the Extension Does

Allows you to right-click an image and send it to the PokéConnect API for card recognition.

Displays the scan result in your browser.


1. What Data We Collect
   
   User-provided API key: Stored locally in your browser’s extension storage. This key is used to authenticate requests to the PokéConnect API.
   
   Image URLs/blobs: Sent to https://api.pokeconnect.nl/scan only when you choose to scan an image.

We do not collect, transmit, or store:

Your browsing history

Personally identifiable information (PII)

Analytics, cookies, or tracking data


1. How Your Data is Used
   
   The image you select is temporarily uploaded to the PokéConnect API to analyze card content.
   
   The API response is used only to display results in your browser.
2. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third parties.
5. Storage and Security

The API key is stored locally in your browser extension’s secure storage (Chrome/Firefox storage).

No image or personal data is stored beyond the API request lifecycle.


1. Your Control
   
   You may change or delete your API key at any time via the extension’s settings.
   
   You may uninstall the extension at any time.
