Simple Tab Groups Drive4ik מאת

As a recent Chrome uBlock Origin refugee, I was looking for something that'd replace chrome's tab groups.
This add-on does a little bit of that, but differently, and in several ways better.
First off, you WILL want to customize your browser toolbar to put the add-on icon to the top left of the app, right before the tabs. It's a much more natural place to use it.
Second, if you're using dark mode, the default icon is hard to see, and you'll have to tweak a config to fix that. It's spelled out in the "about this extension" page.
Third, if you multi-screen, this is MUCH better than chrome tab groups, since it allows you to trivially move tab groups between windows, and therefore screens.
I like that it can sync the tab groups into a bookmark folder.
The default group icons are awkward, but you can replace them with the favicon of any tab within the group, which solves that.
I just installed this a couple hours ago so I'm still wrapping my head around it, but I like it already.
I've got 12 tab groups already. Just don't expect it to be a drop-in replacement for Chrome tab groups. Take the time to wrap your head around the mental model of this add-on, it's worth it.
*Edit, now with more gripes!:
A dozen tabs or so (about 8% of my tabs) get detached from their group on every Firefox restart, which means on every Firefox update for me. I don't know why. It's not the same tabs each time. I tweaked all the settings I could, didn't help. I have to reassign the stray tabs in their proper groups after a restart, which takes entire seconds.
I'm kinda hoping this is going to stop happening on a future update. If I was a little less lazy, I'd probably try to debug it myself.

I end up trying several backups before one finally loads my tabs, and of course they're not the exact ones I want.

- This is by far the best tab grouping app available. It offers unmatched flexibility and customization compared to anything else on the market. Unfortunately, it’s been broken for months. Even when I manage to get it working temporarily, it often loses my saved groups or fails to restore them properly. The restore feature is inconsistent at best.
It seems Firefox updates may have caused compatibility issues, which is understandable, but I wish the developer had continued maintaining it. This app is leagues ahead of Firefox’s recent native tab grouping, which feels limited and clunky by comparison.
I’m holding off on uninstalling it because I still hope for a fix. The moment it’s stable again, I’ll gladly update my rating to 5 stars. - דירוג 4 מתוך 5מאת משתמש Firefox 16291059, לפני חודשAlmost everything I could possibly want, and it almost brings Firefox up to parity with OperaGX's workspaces (though it surpasses it in others). Almost.
Pinned tabs and Firefox's native tab groups tend to 'leak' (for lack of a better term) through the groups in this extension. - דירוג 5 מתוך 5מאת decembre, לפני חודשיים

Edit: finally I saw there are automatic backups and was able to restore last one, give 4 stars, not 5 that would have been if I did not lost all groups in the first time.
Edit again: I should have looked better, yes all my groups have been restored, counters of tabs seems good, but there are missing tabs, when I change group it just jumps to a tab keeping others (from other groups) open, and do other weird stuff... And now its even worse that before I restored... Too sad... - דירוג 3 מתוך 5מאת משתמש Firefox 10019882, לפני חודשייםBasic functions work: in management mode, drag & drop one tab list item to another group; switch to group. The biggest problem is memory usage after long time usage of Firefox v 143 on a Mac Tahoe (not sure of other OS). The memory usage jumped from around 1GB to 7GB after upgrading MacOS to Tahoe version. In the background, must be keeping other OLD tabs in groups already closed but still open (not sure contents of pages already loaded). When I disabled this extension, suddenly more than 20 tabs popped out when total opened tab in all groups were about 7. Plus, Firefox now has implemented tab grouping feature same as Chrome: to collapse tabs into 1 group tab.
