It could be more aesthetically pleasing (nicer icons, better pop-up window layout, and a pop-up window that isn't 100% tall) but it works! :)
Thank you for your work against the dumbing down of Firefox!

Today's update includes a button in the popup to store a custom width and height. If you have specific ideas on icons and layout, you can send them to me using either Github or email (left column of the main page).

Update. I tried to improve the appearance in version 1.8.

    Super useful addon! jscher2000 is a real hero of the Firefox community, for this and so many other contributions.

    Image information is ONLY available through menu clicking and then appears as a new popup window. Settings seem to have no bearing on this. False advertising.

    Normally, you can right-click the image and then shift+click the menu item to overlay image info onto the image. Are there sites where that isn't working?

    Currently, there is no obtain any information without first right-clicking the image. If it would be useful to automatically label some or all images, I could consider that as a new feature. Feel free to start a new request at https://github.com/jscher2000/View-Image-Info-Reborn-for-Firefox/issues with more information about how you want it to work.

    reply: AAaaah thanks, yesterday I accidentally clicked the services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.menu.showViewImageInfo variable instead and was disappointed that it didn't work. Works now, thanks!!!

    previous: the perfect addon. Totally not understandable to me why Mozilla has removed this amazingly useful feature from Firefox.

    Hi Daniel, you can restore "View Image Info" to the right-click context menu by going into about:config and toggling browser.menu.showViewImageInfo to true. Then you can compare features and decide whether it's worth keeping the add-on.

    I'm still lovin' this add-on, to the point that I'm over admin blatently taking the menu item away. I've bookmarked this URL to get the add-on installed for any new computer in the future. Thank you, jscher2000. Please keep this add-on available!

    Would be nice if the src links were clickable/middleclickable in the window popup to open image sources right away. I just takes too many clicks just to get to one image.

    Ideally I'd want to open source image in 1-2 clicks after page has loaded; currently the fastest way takes 3 clicks on image -> scroll -> 3 clicks on url -> drag link into new tab.

    Thank you for this idea. For now, you could select the URL, right-click, and Open Link in New Tab or Open Link in New Window. (Usually Firefox offers those when the selected text is recognized as a valid URL.)

    Perfect. Better than the original (which is coming back in FF 89, by toggling browser.menu.showViewImageInfo )
