I have been using this add-on for some time. Worked great.
Then I encountered:
cannot detect url_encoded_fmt_stream_map or adaptive_fmts
Tried to search for solution. Couldcn't find any.
Tried to reinstal the add-on.
That solved the problem :)

No sound after downloading 420p video.

One button click to quickly download a video. Worked totally as expected.

Quick download option downloads only a low-res video even if you are watching the HD version playing in your browser. Does not display high bitrate download options for videos. Audio is downloaded separate from videos.

I'm trying to install native client (from link on github.com ) in kali linux 2020.1 , firefox 73.0.1 - after command ./install.sh(everything fine) still doesn't see as installed in YouTube Video and Audio Downloader settings tab.... I'm upset

This addon works perfectly. To have it auto-convert videos to MP3, go to addon options, install native client and install FFMPEG and select Postprocessing -> Convert to MP3. Voila!
