The new UI is a disaster. Before, I knew exactly what I wanted to block and what not. Now I'm being patronized. That's why I'm still using version 8.12.13 with the automatic updates turned off.

I used this while I used Firefox as my browser. It did what it said it would do, has an intuitive user interface and lets you easily see what it is doing.
I recommend it for folks still using Firefox.

I've been using Ghostery for about 4 years now, really useful to not get flooded by ads.
My father recommended me this to get rid of trackers, wasn't sure about how useful it was to install that kind of extension. Right now I don't feel comfy going on Firefox without my ghostery active.
Really love the feature that refuses cookies on every single page. Prevents me to find the little "continue without accepting", that annoying windows just goes off and you're free to navigate on their website without sending your datas.

No lie, the first thing I do whenever I install a new Linux OS or reset an Android phone is install ghostry on the browser. Hands down, the best of it's kind.

Was an AdBlocker user from Windows XP on. Switched to Ghostery when I started using Mozilla instead of IE11. Runs quietly and does it's job. Still compatible on Win7 Pro 64 platform. Computing is flawless and so is privacy.
