Didn't even notice this extension stopped working when it became paywalled with a subscription, because AdBlocker Ultimate was apparently already blocking sponsored pins/ads and video pins and doesn't leave empty spaces (still free unless you want to donate btw). I only noticed when I tried to change settings and was asked to login and pay. Not cool. Felt like a bait-and-switch.

2 stars because it does have a few Pinterest-specific features general blockers don't have.

Loved this extension for awhile. Then suddenly it was a "3 day preview" or something, but when I'm not on this website every day and that still counted towards those 3 days.... and no, $1 a month isn't bad but with no real notice? Just a subscription notice on the latest update? Come on.
There doesn't look to be any comparable add ons for pinterest in particular, either.

Cold turkey switching your users to a subscription-based model without any sort of prior notice or explanation is a d*ck move. I would have appreciated an option for a lifetime purchase, or even a "freemium" tier with less features. It's also scummy to have to sign in using apple, google, or facebook. Subscriptions I get the reasoning for, but you want my data too? Nope! I'm outta here.

It's really a shame, since the extension is really good. I want to make it clear that the specific thing I am criticizing is the rollout and lack of transparency + compromise for the paid model, not the paid extension itself.

The extension is $1/month with a three-day free trial that includes full functionality. Nobody is being asked to pay before testing it.

Sign-in is required to manage account and subscription access, not to sell user data. The subscription exists because maintaining the extension is ongoing work: browser changes, compatibility fixes, support, and continued development.

You are free to dislike the paid model, but the review misrepresents what is actually being offered.

Thanks for the feedback. The extension is now paid, but the three-day free trial includes full functionality, so you can test it before paying.

If it is not working during the trial or after subscribing, that is not expected. Please update to the latest version and contact support with your browser version and the site where the issue happens so I can look into it.

While I get that the developer has to eat, paywalling the whole extension makes it useless. I am here to avoid ads and avoid paywalls. What once was an easy 5/5 is now an easy uninstall

This extension is now a paid product because maintaining an ad blocker requires ongoing work: browser compatibility updates, filter fixes, site breakage reports, support, and continued development. The subscription is $1/month, with a three-day free trial that includes full functionality, so users can test whether it works for them before paying.

I appreciate the previous support, but there will not be a free version going forward. For users who find value in the extension, the paid model is what allows it to continue being maintained.

This extension is so useful! I hate that half of my Pinterest page is just ads, but this handy tool removes all of them! Absolutely perfect, and exactly what I was looking for

maybe you can add a feature where wecan never see people we've blocked on search? theres tons of ai slop posters i blocked and i still see em around :)
