As so many others already said, the most recent change of the UI is a big step backwards. Please go back to the original UI or at least make this an option. Otherwise, BW has been my favorite password manager for years.

Recent updates introduced a slow and ugly UI but worse than that -- I can't log in to some websites with the extension added to Firefox. The sites load fine when this one extension is removed. Really disappointed in another software solution being made objectively worse over time for NO REASON. STOP TOUCHING IT.

It used to be good. The new UI is not only unpleasant, but SLOW, loading regularly. Autocomplete of credit card is not working any more, not even recognizing the pages with card inputs. Will abandon the product if they will not revert the old behaviour (not talking about the UI only!).

New UI is terrible. Multiple clicks to get to an edit, Save and Cancel are in the same place, and the same color. Autofill feature got even worse with the update. I've been a very happy customer for years, and will likely be changing password managers this year :/

The new UI is terrible and adds multiple steps to a process that used to be essentially one click only. The page with the info about the new UI gave instructions for bringing back at least the click anywhere to fill option, but the menus don't have all of the options the instructions say, so it's not possible to revert. Other functionality seems to have been taken away as well or, as other reviews have said, hidden so well that I've been unable to find. Incredibly disappointing update.

Update to developer response: No this is not what I want. I repeat, I hate the new UI, so does everyone else, put it back please.

Update 1/8/2025:
The Bitwarden forum mods are now in full-force censorship on their community forum. Anyone that provides feedback saying the update severely inhibits their workflow now gets their posts deleted immediately. They've also limited posts to 1 per hour to stop all the complaints coming in. Censorship is not the answer as the world now knows, however Bitwarden is suppressing any negative feedback where they can control it.

This app has fabulous for years, but there was a HUGE UI DOWNGRADE in late 2024 and it takes many clicks now to just get logged into a site. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE UI change and I hate it!!! PLEASE, change it back!

It certainly does what it should, but the UI for filling passwords is hideous.

Currently the “fill” button occupies approximately 5% of the card. The “copy” button occupies less than that. Both of those activities are performed far more frequently than “view,” and yet the majority of the card is dedicated to “view.”

Also? This is the reverse of the way the application works in other browsers, so if you use Chrome and have it done properly, you'll be continually miserable with FireFox.

This plugin needs to create a “view” button to replace the “Fill” button and make the majority of the card “fill” the credentials.

Too many stupid changes made. Typing strings should prioritize entries that start with inputed string!! For example, on what planet would tying "he" produce "chess.com" as the first result other than an idiotic one??? So now you've screwed my entire system based on a standard way of doing things. Thanks a lot! And why have you made it stupidly more difficult to open a site in browser. THE LINK BUTTON SHOULD BE PROMINENT EVERYWHERE, NOT ONLY FROM THE STARTING MENU. That is, if I click on an entry, I shouldn't have to stupidly search for the OPEN LINK button through a bunch a text. Do you morons actually even use this thing? Now you have hidden the delete button in one hard to find stupid spot. Why wouldn't it be in the logical place next to the edit button, or in the context menu. Edit: no you or someone has changed my password!!! WHY NO E-MAIL NOTIFICATION ASSHOLES????? FU AND YOUR INSECURE GARBAGE!!

Really great password manager! But the new UI is hoooorribly unintuitiv, really slow and buggy! Takes ages to load and when generating a new password, it does not react to changes in length anymore. Please go back, it was so great!

if you need details...
- way too much white space, with huge fonts everywhere. literally has the biggest font sizes on my screen out of anything
- slow, maybe caused by showing entire vault on the first tab. not to mention security implications
- more difficult out of the box to use with the tiny "fill" button

I had been a happy Bitwarden user (paid) for several years after migrating from 1Password, and I routinely recommended it to others. Unfortunately, Bitwarden's December 2024 UI replacement is an utter tire fire. Everything is relentlessly clickier. Rare tasks (such as editing credentials) are UI-privileged over common tasks (such as entering credentials into sites).

This rating is a warning, Bitwarden: usability is not optional, and "pretty" is not a substitute for it. I'm about to cancel my membership and check out Buttercup and KeePass. I expect my recommendations to shift accordingly.

Terrible new UI, please revert to classic.
Edit to dev reply: this is not a solution, I want everything to be changed back to classic, not some half assed change. Why is it so hard to understand that people like things the way they are and don't like forced change down our throats for no reason at all?

Been using bitwarden for years, but the last update has left me questioning whether I will renew next year. The new UI is absolutely terrible. If you insist on using this new layout, please include an option for those of us who want it to restore the functional UI

Bad UI and UX after new update. New design wastes too much space, it takes more clicks to achieve the same objectives, muscle memory from years of use is completely destroyed. I feel the design enforces a single type of user's preferences and disregards the rest as can be seen by the hugely negative feedback on here and reddit.

You broke it. Never NEVER do form over function for critical systems like password management. There is not even any improvements I have noticed just different. At a minimum change the fill to not be a tiny stupid button but the whole login card and make edit be the little button if anything.

Give us the old UI that doesn't SUCK back.

updated few days ago... they add fill button, if you click the row dont autofill anymore its entering edit mode!, Why Bitwarden? now have to aim that tiny fill button? i dont undertand why you did that.

The new redesign sucks. An extra click now to copy the same details? What was wrong with it before? At least the search sucks slightly less, I mean, sooo intuitive to type ">+word +secondword" to get the right item to the top of the list instead of just "word secondword"

The redesign pissed me off with the new fill button functionality. I edit things once in a while, and fill fields every day multiple times. The default behavior should be to fill when clicking, and have an edit button.

The old Firefox extension was great. Snappy response, loaded right away, loaded in fields right away.
The new extension is slow on everything. It frustrates every single time you need a password, which for many people can be up to 100 times per day, that's 100 frustrating moments per day caused by your new version.
Fix the slow behaviour or bring back the old version or you will simply lose paying customers.
