Politika privatnosti za Glasp Web Highlighter: PDF & Web Highlight
Glasp Web Highlighter requires a Glasp account. This policy describes what the extension sends and why.
What the extension collects
- Highlights, notes, tags and page notes that you create, together with the URL and title of the page you created them on. These are saved to your Glasp account so they are available on your other devices and on glasp.co.
- Page content, but only when you ask for it. When you request an AI summary or use the Chat tab, the text of the current page or the transcript of the current video is sent to Glasp servers and processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate the response. Page content is not sent at any other time.
- Optional usage information such as which features you open. This is used to understand which parts of the product are used and to fix problems.
What the extension does not do
The extension does not read your browsing history. It records only the pages where you create a highlight or request a summary.
It does not read your bookmarks.
It does not read or store credentials for any service. Kindle import works by reading your Amazon notebook page with the browser session you are already signed in to, and only when you start an import.
When you use "Summarize in ChatGPT", "Summarize in Claude" or a similar action, the extension opens that service in a new tab in your own browser and fills in the prompt. The conversation happens between you and that service under your own account.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention and control
Your highlights and notes stay in your Glasp account until you delete them. You can delete individual items, or delete your account, from glasp.co. Deleting your account removes your saved data.
