You can now use two-way note linking to connect your ideas and build up your own personal knowledge system (or "second brain") in Momentum.

If you're building a second brain or creating a "zettelkasten" system, two-way linking in Momentum Notes allows you to:

Adapt and evolve your ideas. Quickly update links to reflect new discoveries, evolving theories or shifts in perspective.
Ignite your creativity. Two-way linking nurtures ideas by fostering connections. As thoughts collide, your mind becomes a breeding ground for conceptual cross-pollination and innovation.
Provide structure & context. With two-way linking, you can see how different ideas relate to each other, uncover patterns, and grasp the underlying structure of your knowledge.

Creating a note link

Simply type [[ to create a new linked note or link to an existing note. You can also highlight text and click the two-way link icon.

The note link popup will appear, where you can choose to create a new linked note or link to an existing note.

Creating a new linked note

Type [[ to bring up the link note controls.
Type the name of the note you would like to create.
Click the "+ New note" row with your new note name inline.
A new linked note is created! You can now click the linked note to go to that note, and the backlink will show below the title.

Linking to an existing note

Type [[ to bring up the link note controls.
As you continue to type, your existing notes matching what you've typed will appear as options to link.
Click the note you'd like to link.

Note: You can also navigate the note link popup using your keyboard.
Using backlinks

When you link to a note, a backlink is automatically created on the linked note.

The backlink shows at the top under the title, making it easy to navigate between connections.
