Veksha processes information only to provide its language-learning features.
Depending on the features the user chooses, Veksha may process selected text, page text, subtitle text, OCR results, the current website domain, chat messages, saved vocabulary, answers and training history, language preferences, learning goals, settings, and a user-selected display name. The extension stores an internal account identifier, authentication token, preferences, and feature state in Firefox local extension storage.
If the user chooses Google sign-in, a Google ID token and the email address returned by Google are processed for account authentication. If the user chooses Telegram billing, the linked Telegram account identifier and subscription/payment status are processed.
The extension sends the information required for a requested feature to the Veksha production service at https://veksha-backend-production.up.railway.app. Text submitted for translation, explanation, chat, grammar, immersion, lesson, subtitle, OCR-related, or training features may be processed by OpenAI's API to generate the requested result. Optional Google authentication is processed by Google. Optional subscription billing is processed through Telegram.
Data is used to provide translations, language analysis, vocabulary storage, personalised training, lessons, account synchronisation, authentication, support, and optional billing. Veksha does not sell personal data and does not use it for advertising.
Google sign-in and Telegram linking are optional. Users can disable optional page-analysis features in the extension settings, clear local extension data through Firefox, and stop using the service at any time. Data is retained only as needed to operate the account and provide the requested features.
