VT companion Autor: Val Town

VT Companion is a companion browser extension for VT, the Val Town CLI. When you run "vt watch," as you make changes to files, vt will upload them to Val Town, and, if you have VT Companion, communicate over a Websocket connection on localhost to reload tabs corresponding to HTTP Vals for the project being watched.

To use, first make sure you have an ongoing "vt watch." Then, VT Companion will automatically connect to VT when you load "val.run" domain deployed websites, but if it ever fails to connect or you are working with a custom domain deployment, you can click on the extension in the toolbar and choose "Connect to VT CLI" to force a reconnect. You should see a message in the log for the "vt watch" saying a connection was established.
