I highly appreciate that you try to transform Scrapbook into a WebExtension. I have tons of data in Scrapbook X and followed all the instructions to install, migrate and capture, but in the current stage this is pure rocket science to install and use.
I am stuck with the data in my Download folder, can't capture, have no sidebar to display and search my data and I have no idea how to get any functionality from it, so I give up. If there's a small chance to re-enable the usability of Scrapbook X you should go this way.

Note: My one star rating is not at all meant to discourage you but to reflect the current stage of usability. Of course this will be changed when the usability rises. Thanks for your work!

    Very useful. 2 Feature suggestions: Dark mode UI support for the sidebar. And an easier way to highlight text, possibly similar to Raindrop extension where after highlighting text a popup right above the text shows up with color options.

    Unable to get this to work on Firefox 133 and Fedora 40. Installed the backend and the browser extension. Could not find any configuration for the backend that would work. There needs to be a more specific set of instructions written by someone who has successfully installed this extension in Linux, unless this only works in Windows. Perhaps this is a great extension but it is worthless if it cannot be installed.

    I needed to backup a website that used form login, making a simple scraping not possible. This extension worked like a charm after figuring out some of the configuration options.

    I choose the WebScrapBook/data option but it wants me to configure Backend server... ? ? ?
    Useless.
    I miss the old Scrapbook Extension.

    Please consult the documentation about different approaches to capture a page: https://github.com/danny0838/webscrapbook/wiki/Basic. Raise an issue with more details (e.g. a screenshot illustrating where you are asked for backend server configuration) in the source repository if you still don't get it.
