wot Wužiwar Firefox 14792473, před 5 letyseems very nice, thank you !
but,
- I can't follow instructions because extension is translated (in French)and I can't choose english so: how do I disable translation (to have it in English) ?
- Instructions are not really clear: what are letters displayed on the icon ? When I go on a test fingerprinting page, it changes from green icon to red, show some numbers (of fingerprinting attemps I guess) and then there is a letter like "C" or "D": what does it mean ? Didn't found anything about that
- on the provided test page "Canvas test", it is said that hash are expected to be the same when refreshed. What does it mean if they change (when I click "refresh" button hash change) ?
-On the configuration page I have a text highlighted in red saying something in French (thus why is it translated by default if I don't want ?): "Vous avez activé la protection contre le pistage de Fingerprinting (empreinte digitale – composants de l’ordinateur)." = "You have activated protection against fingerprinting (fingerprint-computer component): what does it mean ? is it bad or good and if bad what can I do ?

je so před 5 lety napisałThe extension is translated in several languages (https://crowdin.com/project/canvasblocker) and the main language is English. As the used language is controlled by Firefox you have to check your browser settings to know why it's displayed in French.
The letters on the icon indicate which APIs where protected by the extension (C = canvas, D = DOMRect, N = naivgator, W = window, A = audio). If you hover over the icon with your mouse you should get a tooltip with further information. But you get the detailed information when you click on the fingerprint icon in the url bar.
If the hashes do not change it can mean several things - most likely something in your settings. Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with all your questions and your settings. This review system is not great for extensive communication.
The red message indicates that you have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled which changes the behaviour of CB slightly (it most likely explains that the hashes do not change). It's not bad - just something to be aware of. Here is the English translation of that message: You have privacy.resistFingerprinting enabled. This slightly changes the behaviour of CanvasBlocker. See further information {link:here:https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues/158} and {link:here:https://github.com/ghacksuserjs/ghacks-user.js/issues/767}.

- Z 1 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Gibby, před 12 dnyThis add-on breaks Google Maps on mobile. Google Maps is completely unusable; I am forever stuck on a constantly loading page that keeps switching between a blank page and the Google Maps page. Uninstalling this add-on did nothing, clearing cache and cookies did nothing, and even whitelisting the site itself in Canvas Blocker didn't do anything. I only ever started having this issue upon using this add-on.
And no, I'm not making an off-site account just to report this problem, I'm posting it here. Ridiculous. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Leviii, před měsícem

If you stay on one of the 2 lowest settings you can increase your anonymity dramatically on the web without breaking functionality, so you can surf the web pretty much like everyone else without even noticing it while still staying hard to identify if you for example combine this with VPN. This alone will help but its one of several other key plugins you should install to shield yourself against tracking on the web.
- Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Lilith D. Bracken, před 3 měsíciGreat privacy-focused extension that helps protect against fingerprinting. It blocks or fakes the data that websites use to track your device without your consent. I like that you can customize how strict it is for each site, so if something breaks, it’s easy to adjust. It runs quietly in the background and doesn’t slow things down. A must-have for anyone who cares about online privacy and wants more control over what sites can learn about their system.

- Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Edgar Almeida, před 4 měsíciSeems to work, if you test it at browserleaks(dot)com / canvas with the plugin on, keeps giving new signatures at each refresh, if you turn the plugin off, the signature will remain the same

- Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Zertrax, před 4 měsíciWorks very well. If you want to test this addon whether it works or not, just visit the page which is mentioned in the description. (for example: browserleaks website)
It's just a shame that I only recently discovered canvas fingerprinting, even though it's been around for so long. Keep your privacy up folks. - Z 5 z 5 pohódnoćenywot whatever, před 4 měsíci

- Z 1 z 5 pohódnoćenywot NameOfDisplay, před 6 měsíciI like the concept of the addon but this is basically useless until the developer explains literally anywhere how to add sites to the whitelist and the settings page doesn't absolutely suck.
Only really useful if you are the developer and understand all of the obtuse menu options. - Z 4 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Mikaela, před 6 měsíci

- Z 3 z 5 pohódnoćenywot Wužiwar Firefox 19062474, před 6 měsíciNo instructions on how to use it. Not intuitive to use. I have not a clue if it is doing anything because of this. I will leave it on incase it is working. It would be better as an app to work all the time my device is on rather than just inside my browser.
