This updated review is very long overdue, since I've been using it for almost a third of my my entire life. Dark Reader is beyond essential, and when it broke very recently, I'm not gonna lie, I was a kinda devestated, and I had to find an alternative. Lets just say there is a reason why this is the absolute king of dark mode extensions, and long may it reign.

Also please show them your support by donating. Its one thing to create something that anyone can use for free, its another thing to make something essential, but its a rarity to maintain it for ten whole years, especially in internet land.

Great add-on. As reported by other users, works on almost all sites. Ironically, addons.mozilla.org is one of the few that it doesn't work on. Not a biggie, but would have been nice if it did. Either way, definitely recommended.

Awesome plug-in!

I got tired of registering to many frequent sites to enable the darkmode (when it exists) and finally stumbled upon Dark Reader... it changed my whole experience.

It's fast and almost every site comes out great, and you can deactivate easily for the URLs where you prefer the stock display. You can toggle the settings to adapt the darkness/contrast to find your sweet spot.

This is the first time I write a review for a plug-in, I'd give it a 6th star if there was one :)
