I've been looking for a replacement for the default RSS previewer since it was removed from Firefox. Most extensions require opening a sidebar or contain features I will never use.

The author states that "This extension attempts to recreate.." the original previewer. I'm happy to report that this extension is nearly indistinguishable from the original.

I would rate it more than 5 stars if I could.

If you are looking to replicate the default reader's preview functionality, this is the add-on you need.

    This extension has unfortunately so far failed to detect the RSS feeds of every RSS that I am already currently subscribed to.

    BTW, please add "atom:icon" to rss.xml file (into "feedTitleImage" img tag), because some services use "atom:icon" instead of "atom:logo".

    This extension quickly finds the rss feed if it exists. Note that if a .css file downoads instead of a page being displayed, then it's a bad feed URL where FreshRSS is concerned.

    Works well - shows button in address bar and does RSS preview. Preview UI is a bit ascetic, but I am fine with it.

    It's OK to just view feeds in a tab.No problem with Google News. But this is not livebookmarks.You can't check feed headlines on the bookmark toolbar with this.

    Does what it say on the tin. Tried "I want my RSS" before this and it a) was slow and b) tended to go into a loop that made the CPU go to 100%. This doesn't. That's good.

    Excellent add-on, does what it says on the tin. I only need to be able to check a feed occasionally but this is perfect for that. Many thanks.
