- Differential updates ensure you have most recent filters multiple times per day instead of once every 6 days
- In case a fix is added to a list and is immediately needed by a user, we provide a click-to-update link in support channels to guarantee you receive the fix with minimal bandwidth burden
Keep in mind uBO is not monetized and we can't afford to end up having to pay tens of thousands of US dollars to a CDN providers to host the lists -- this would be the end of the project.
Update 2024-01-18:
The updated anti-blocker has no effect on uBO, no fix needs to be added to the lists, so something else in your browser is causing this, and re-downloading all the lists would have accomplished nothing except pointlessly consumes bandwidth of the server.

BUT, it also breaks way too many legit sites especially financial and others that I use all the time. Whitelisting or disabling doesn't seem to work for them and my only solution is to remove the extension. I know it is the installed extension because I can use Chrome without any problem that doesn't have this extension installed on these same sites. I've tried looking around in the extension but the list of things it blocks on many sites sometimes is so long that it's just not worth trying each one to see which, if any is causing the problem. Not to mention I don't like constantly trying banking site logins as their systems could see my attempts as fraud or someone trying to attempt multiple logins who aren't account holders so forget that.....locking my bank accounts just to test this extension isn't worth the hassle. Again, it does what it promises but sometimes having it installed breaks too many legit sites.

Doesn't add much load in terms of processing power, in fact it probably improves performance due to the sheer amount of s#@t it blocks. Has been working extremely well for me for years. The ability to just shoot an arbitrarily chosen part of an intrusively designed website with "Right-click > block element" has worked beautifully.
