uBlock Origin is the best ad-block add-on that I've used.

It's a great Ad-blocker, lightweight and easy to use. Blocking elements are really intuitive! Great Work!

As of writing this, this is the cleanest and most effective adblock I've used. With no configuration it blocks almost everything you need it to. The only exception is self-hosted ads, eg reddits own ads on reddit.
